Big Almaty Lake

The big Almaty lake  is at 2,500 meters above sea level and there are peaks overlooking it, some of them above 4,500. The lake freezes in the winter and in the autumn it is a stunning turquoise blue color. The water is extremely clean and is used to supply drinking water to the huge Almaty city. VERY BEAUTIFUL!!
